Grant Awarding Procedure
Round One: Each team’s proposal will be assessed to see that it meets application and originality criteria.
Stand and Deliver: Short-listed teams will be contacted via email and will have to prepare and present a 5-minute presentation to a 3-person judging panel in April. The time and venue details will be announced closer to the date. The judging panel will comprise professionals from the education, business and public sector.
No power point presentation will be allowed. Prototypes, posters, videos, charts and marketing materials (brochures, flyers, merchandise) are recommended. All presentations must answer:
What is the product?
Who is the target audience?
Why is the idea/concept/product unique?
How will it meet an existing need?
What is the marketing and development plan?
What is the budge requested? (in detail)
* Student teams will present for themselves, a teacher may assist but is not permitted to present on behalf
of their team.
Waiting for Confirmation
Once the judging panel has seen all of the presentations, they will decide which projects will be funded. All successful teams will be notified by 8 May, Friday.
